The Green Bandana, a contemporary symbol of the feminist movement in Chile and Latin America, was released in Chile on July 25, 2018 for the Abortion With No Restrictions March.
The color green was chosen in 2005 ahead of the Sixth Latin American Feminists Conference.
The design was chosen in a contest won by the graphic designer Carolina Lería who was inspired by the poster for the 1st National Conference of the Pro-Emancipation Movement of the Chilean Woman (Memch) in 1937.
